Always On The Go

Saturday we decided to pull out Aaden's new tricycle he got for his birthday and his 4 wheeler that he got for Christmas (the Lightning McQueen car he got for his birthday is going to stay at his PeePaw's house in Tupelo for a while since we don't have the space to store it).  He liked his tricycle, but his new love is his 4 wheeler.  You should have seen the fit that was thrown trying to get him off of it!  The weather was gorgeous.  It is finally starting to feel like fall, or as we call it in the Marsh household, football season!

Trying to get the hang of it....

A little supervision from daddy

....and he's off.  Now if we can only get him to watch where he's going!

Aaden's Barnyard Bash

Our sweetie had a blast at his birthday party.  The theme was barnyard- cows, barns, roosters, pigs, chickens...

We had originally planned on having it outside, but it is just miserable outside right now and there was a chance of rain, so we had it at Tyler's parent's church.  MUCH COOLER!

This is Aaden playing with my mom (Di Di).  They have alot of fun together!
He is a MESS!  He got several outfits for his birthday and wanted to put them on.  The boy loves clothes!
Aunt Janet & Uncle Chris picked out a Mickey Mouse card that sings the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" theme when you open it. He loved it and would sing and dance to it!
Mommy & Daddy got him a tricycle and some DVD's for his birthday.  He's into anything that he can push/pedal/drive.
His Peepaw got him a Lightning McQueen racecar.  He LOVES it!  Definitely doesn't watch where he's going, though!  Almost ran over his Di Di and several others....not sure where he gets his driving from?!
This is Aaden and his friend Lucy.  Lucy's dad was Tyler's best friend growing up, and now they get to see Lucy & Aaden play together.
Our sweet boy is a ham.  He was cracking us up with his facial expressions and watching him open all of his presents.  We are so thankful for him and the time we get to spend together.  Now that I work at night, I don't get to see him or Tyler very much during the week, so the time we spend together on the weekend is precious.  I try to hug him a little longer, steal a few more kisses, and make sure he knows his Mama loves him so, so much.  Happy Birthday, Aaden!

Our "baby" boy is two!

On Saturday, our handsome little man turned two!

We celebrated by a quick trip to Tupelo to eat at Danver's, play in the fountain at Fairpark, Toys 'R Us, and ate supper at Mt. Fuji, a new Japanese steakhouse.
Aaden had a blast.  He's been singing "Happy dirf-day" for a few weeks now, and it is precious.  We are so thankful for him.  Tyler and I love him so much.  His actual party isn't until this Sunday, the 15th, so there will be more pictures to come!

Long Time, No Post!

It's been a while, huh?  We don't have the internet at our house except for our phones, and well, let's just say it's not easy to post that way!  It's also frustrating that our lovely camera doesn't upload pictures.  It really is lovely...just won't upload! Grrr.......

We our absolutely wonderful!  Thanking God for continually blessing us.  I graduated in May from nursing school, and I have accepted a job at OCH in Starkville as an RN on their Post-partum/Pediatric floor.  My schedule is an absolute "God thing". 3:00-11:00 P.M. Monday- Friday.  I start orientation this Monday and we're SO excited.
Aaden is growing and learning new stuff every day.  He'll be 2 in just a few short weeks and I'm constantly wondering where our little boy went?  He's definitely not a baby anymore, loves singing his ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Jesus Loves Me.  He loves saying his "blessing" before we eat and concludes with a big ol' "AMEN!"  So sweet.  He loves anything to do with water & would play all day in the pool if we let him.
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Christmas & RSV

It has been a few weeks since I have last blogged, sorry!  I'll try to do better, hopefully getting back into the swing of things will help!  Today is my last first day of college.  At least for a while, I hope!

We had a great Christmas!  We are truly blessed to have family and friends that love us.  Aaden has lots of new toys, some new clothes, 2 new chairs-- one that Santa got him that is Mississippi State and his Aunt Diane gave him a recliner.  He won't sit in it for very long periods, but I know as he grows older he'll start to love it!  He deserves every one of those things, and more.  He is such a sweet, silly little boy.  Every night when I see him asleep, I just wonder why in the world God chose us to be his parents.  Christmas takes on a new meaning when seen through a child's eyes.

Not only did Aaden deserve those toys because he's such a great boy, but because he had been sick.  Bless him... I felt so sorry for him!  After not getting better a few days after being put on meds for a "cold", we took him back to the doctor and he was wheezing!  He was positive for RSV bronchiolitis, so we had to begin home nebulizer treatments.  Aaden didn't care for those, and neither did we!  He didn't like doing them, and the albuterol made him a little "wilder" than normal!  He was off of them for about a week and a half and came down with something else.... congestion...fever... so we had to start them again!  I am hoping and praying that the warmer temperatures this week will help.  Dr. Ski says that if he gets sick at anytime during the next 5 months or so, we will probably have to just keep doing the treatments.  As much as I hate them, anything to get him better is 100% worth it!!

I'll try to blog again soon!

Merry almost Christmas!

We've been busy lately.  It seems like this time of year always get a little hectic.  Maybe even more than "a little hectic".  We were out to eat this past Sunday and Santa was there!  Poor Aaden didn't care much for the big man in the red suit.  I wish I would have had our camera with us.  He came and stood at our table and Aaden had this look of sheer fright on his face.  Even after he left to go to the other tables, he kept his eye on him.  Maybe next year.....

I love this time of year, but I find myself getting caught up in the trivial things that this season brings.  Gifts...get togethers...you name it.  I pray that Aaden grows up to realize that it's not about toys and Christmas trees.  While those things are fun, I hope that he knows the best gift that he ever received and can give to others is love.

And then there was..... Rest!

Our last day of the fall semester was Tuesday.  It's been so wonderful to be off and not worry about studying, clinical, and lots of paperwork.  Now maybe I can actually try to clean our house!  I can't believe Christmas is right around the corner.  Unbelievable!  Tell me, where has 2009 gone?

We had a great Thanksgiving.  Lots of family, food, and football!  Some of my favorite things!  And to top it all off, we gave Ole Miss a good 'ol whoopin!  They may be going to a bowl, but I'd much rather take an Egg Bowl victory!  Go Dawgs!!!

Aaden's art project he made at daycare.  They used his little hand prints for the turkey feathers.  So stinking sweet......
